Kawaguchiko is a lake locates in Yamanashi-Prefecture, where is one of famous Fuji Five Lakes. Fully development of tourism facilities and accommodations which is easy for sightseeing. Kawaguchiko locates in the central of Fuji Five Lakes, therefore its easy to access. It is an open-area, as well as a tourist attraction. It takes around two hours from Shinjuku station to Kawaguchiko by direct bus.
The purpose to visit Kawaguchiko majorly is the best view of Mt. Fuji from this area. Mt. Fuji is at 3776 meters and is the most highest mountain in Japan. Mt. Fuji and surroundings have became World Heritage from June, 2013.
Viewing Mt. Fuji from Fuji Five Lakes are the most wonderful and fabulous seasonal activity. The Mt. Fuji itself reflects on Motosuko lake, in order to create a unexpected awesome inverted image, Sakasafuji. Viewing Mt. Fuji in a tranquil day, with slightly misty light fog will make you full in love with the place immediately. Mt. Fuji with self-reflection at the Motosuko lake is exactly the picture printed on the back of Japanese 1000yen peper money.
In addition, easiest season to see clear Mt. Fuji is in winter. Due to winter is more likely to have sunny dayes, through the clear sky and fresh air, the opportunity to see clear Mt. Fuji is high.
If you plan a journey to Kawaguchiko lake, you will feel extremely relaxed walking along by the Kawaguchiko. The circumference of Kawaguchiko is around 19km, it takes about 1 hour by free shuttle bus to go around the lake. There are some vendors sell local products, as well as aerial railway and tour boat attractions.
It takes around 1 hour by car from Kawaguchiko to Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station. The 5th Station is at 2305 meters and offers a commanding view of the Fuji Five Lakes area. Additionally, you will also see Akaishisanmyaku, sea of clouds and sunrise etc.
Many visitors and mountain climbers who stayed over night in hotels where faces Kawaguchiko, are purposely come here and watching the sunrise by bus service from 1st of May to 14th of November. If you would like to join the beautiful view, please wake up early in order to take the tour bus.
