Snowtown Yeti is an outdoor skiing area opened earliest in Japan at the foot in Mt. Fuji.

“Snowtown Yeti” is a skiing area located the second stage of Mt. Fuji which is opened earlierst in Japan. It is a very popular spot due to its very close to Tokyo, and you can see Mt. Fuji from here. To Yeti, you will need to take Odakyu Railway from Shinjuku Station, and change to direct bus from Gotembashi Station to Yeti, and it takes about 3 hours. Rental equitments and ski wear are available here, so there is no need to worry if you don't have any ski equitments.
Yeti's elevation is 1,300 ~ 1,450m, and the maximum slop length is 1,000m. The average inclination is 11 degrees with maximum inclination 25 degrees. It provides 3 ski lefts, and and 3 ski lefts of conveyor belt types. First of all, we would like to introduce you some slop types at Yeti. There are 8 areas within the resort, and 50% suitable for beginners, and 40% suitable for intermediate skiers, and 10% for advanced skiers.

Slope A Difficulty ★★
Width 8m, with length 1000m which suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers. This is the main slop of the ski resort, and opens in October every year. Skiers are able to enjoy cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, and freestyle skiing in this slop.
Slope B Difficulty ★★
The slope has length 1000m. The top half of the mountain is best suited for skiing lessons. The bottom half is optimized for bump skiing. Suitable for intermediate skiers.
Slope C Difficulty ★★★
The slope length is 500m and suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers. The middle section of the slope is made narrow and steep.
Slope D Difficulty ★★★★
Length in 500m. The average inclination of 16 degress, with 25 degrees at the most steep places which is a slope with a high level of difficulty. The slope is extremely popular among intermediate and advanced skiers.
Terrain Parks Difficulty ★★★
A fully equipped freestyle ski park with jumps and grinding rails. It is a popular slope for snowboarders and free style skiers.
Playing grounds Difficulty ★
It is a playing grounds for kids and familites to enjoy in build up snowmen, throwing snowballs, and sledding etc. Rest room is available within the area and is free of charge.
Sledding Slope Difficulty ★
The slope is for sledding only, so users don't need to worry about accidents with skiers with beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. Rental of sleds is available (700 yen per day).
Beginners Slope Difficulty ★
The slope optimized for novice skiers, children and families.
